Children’s Ministry
Nursery services are provided during all service times for children up to age 2.
A preschool-specific (ages 2 – pre-K) class (referred to as “Wee Worship” at Cross Timbers) is provided during the Sunday morning worship time at 9:30 AM and during the Sunday School hour beginning at 10:45 AM.
A children’s church class (K – 3rd Grade) is also provided during the Sunday morning worship time at 9:30 AM. Children’s church is followed by the age-specific Sunday School classes listed below at 10:45 AM.
Our children’s Sunday School classes (birth – 6th grade) are provided at 10:45 AM as follows:
-Nursery (birth – 24 months)
-Preschool (age 2- pre-K)
-Early Elementary (K – 1st Grade)
-Elementary (2nd – 3rd Grade)
-The 456 (4th – 6th Grade)
Each of these classes utilizes scheduling and curricula developed specifically for the age groups they serve.
All personnel who work with minors in any capacity have submitted to a background check and been approved by a vote of the body of the church or proxy (such as the Christian Education Board, elected by the body to work in conjunction with the pastoral staff to oversee the educational efforts of the church).
We rejoice in knowing this bond will develop authentic relationships, mutual encouragement, and committed families, bringing individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and interests who genuinely love each other into the body and into broad participation in the larger Christian community.
